Where are you Vitamin Energy

Hi Glaceau,

I have emailed you guys in the past just to praise you guys about the awesome products you guys have. At the time, I was raving about how much Vitamin Energy has helped me out in my studies as a student at Purdue University. I really did and still do believe that the Vitamin Energy series was the best energy drink series out there...it had no adverse effects, it works, and most importantly, it is a drink that TASTES good! I couldn't put enough emphasis in how much I did like it then. I guess you guys liked my email too, because you guys sent me a Glaceau hat! Thanks very much for that!

Unfortunately, I have not seen Vitamin Energy on the shelf since...sometime in 2008. The good thing is that I am not too busy yet, but the last few weeks of this semester are approaching and it's getting near the time to throw away sleep for a chance at a better future. Yes, finals are coming up and the projects are needing to be submitted and sleep is about 10th on my list. This is where Vitamin Energy should come into my life, but....it hasn't. I haven't seen it on the shelves anywhere. I have checked multiple stores and even in different states. No luck.

So here I am now at your website searching for something that seems to be lost. And it is yet to be found here as well. It looks like the Vitamin Energy section is also gone. I hate to ask this, but has Vitamin Energy been discontinued?

A negative reply to this will be very....negative to me. That tasty drink that uplifted my enthusiasm in studying may be...gone? I'll be in denial without a doubt. But I'll try to think the Vitamin Energy way and be optimistic and hope you guys are working hard on producing more Vitamin Water10's while sacrificing Vitamin Energy production. I am crossing my fingers at heart, since crossing my fingers will make typing this much harder.

So please, please give me some good news that your Vitamin Energy is just hibernating in the northern forests of Canada and will soon come out of hiding. Please tell me that Vitamin Energy's mom grounded him for a week. Please tell me that Vitamin Energy was making big bucks but you guys felt bad for your competitors.

Thank you.

Signed,
Me

i have had many of the same thoughts as you! i LOVED vitaminenergy because it was effective without making you feel cracked out, and did not make you 'crash' when the effects wore off. i also have noticed it disappear from shelves as of late last year, and recently became rather worried about the situation. if this product had been discontinued, what other energy drink can do what vitaminenergy did? red bull, monster, etc all give me a quick rush, but within a few hours i feel horrid and worse than i did to begin with! not worth it for me.

so after googling about it and coming across this blog, i decided to contact glaceau. much to my dismay, i received the following response:

thank you for your interest in glacéau® products.

we agree vitaminenergy® was a phenomenal product. unfortunately, at this time vitaminenergy is no longer being manufactured. If your local retailer no longer has vitaminenergy they will no longer be able to receive it. we have made the difficult decision to discontinue this line of products.

please do not hesitate to contact me if i can be of further assistance. thank you again and remember to hydrate responsibly! ®.

sincerely,

so unfortunately, and i really do mean UNFORTUNATELY, vitaminenergy is no longer around. for some unmentioned reason, my guess being lackluster sales or focus on the new vitaminwater10, they have discontinued the product. maybe we should start an online petition? there must be many others out there who have similar thoughts as us.

as you probably know, glauceau is merely a puppet of coke. my guess is the big boys at coke said pull the plug, it's not making enuf $ for them.

I worked at a grocery store when VitaminEnergy was out. I remember every store and gas stations had $1 off coupons so they could get rid of the product from their shelves. This made me real sad, since VE cracked me out for work.

We should make an online petition.

Totally agree with the comments on this blog. Bummer. What a great product it was. If anyone has found something similar please let me know. Thanks - Todd

Wow, very disappointing, but I suspected this was the case when I had trouble finding them recently too... Arizona makes an herbal non-carbonated energy drink that is real tasty, but doesn't have quite the same kick as Vitamin Energy seemed to. Any other suggestions?

I, like many of you, believe that VitaminEnergy was the best energy drink ever created. (My favorite was the yellow one.)
I would drink one can every day before class at the Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences in Tempe, AZ. The drink never lost its effect of boosting my clarity of thinking and also memory retention, as well as energy. After the energy boosting effects wore off, I never became sleepy or lacked normal energy levels like with other energy drinks. VitaminEnergy was somewhat of a miracle drink for myself and others. On top of everything, it tasted great!
I am highly disappointed that the people of Glaceau could not be more in tune with the wishes of it's customers. They, as well as us, are going to miss out on the benefits of this great product.
If there is anybody out there with the ambition to start a petition to get this product back, please let me know (cyber.century@hotmail.com) and I will be happy to contribute.

I, as well love Vitamin Energy. I have one can left and I am saving it for a day that I think I will REALLY need it. I loved Vitamin Energy!!! Since it has been discontinued I have not been able to find an energy drink that compares in taste, and the actual energy it provides. If there is a petition out there I and a few others I know would love to sign it. To tell you the truth I think that Vitamin Energy allowed my husband and I the chance to have our second child since we had been trying for four years and not three months after I started drinking it we found out we were pregnant. I want my energy drink back.

THANKS

Son of a bitch... Well I kind of figured thats what happened, so thanks for confirming it. If this drink is helping people have kids, I'd say keep it around. I'm confused on why they stopped it, doesn't really make sense. I miss it alot though.

There's a drink here in Kansas called Bawls energy drink that is almost as good, but in the past weeks i've seen that come off the shelf too and now I can't find it. Luckily, I have 7,259 different flavors of Monster to chose from. Although one could argue that dog shit would adequately describe them all. Step up and bring this back Glaceau!

Hey if any of you that have posted want to get Vitamin Energy drinks and live in or around Philadelphia, I found someone on Craigslist that had cases for sale. Here's the link: http://philadelphia.craigslist.org/for/1934050248.html

Hey everyone, I'm back with great news. I remember finding this blog when no one else knew what the hell was going on, so I made sure to look it back up so I can let everyone know what's going on. I "liked" vitaminwater on Facebook, so their updates now show in my feed. Last month they posted something and I forgot to relay it to you guys... but now I am. Better late than never, I guess.

So on 9/17/2010, a guy named Matt that works for vitaminwater posted a video to their Facebook. He thanked everyone for their contributions and ideas for the new vitaminwater energy label. He also talked about the multitudes of people, executives and legal team alike, that have to approve this label after him so it's obviously not going to be a quick process. I just don't understand how two years hasn't been enough time for them to get their act together already! This drink should have been back in stores already.

Anyway guys, follow up with vitaminwater on Facebook. He said they would post rough drafts of the label in a few days, but this was back in September. Obviously they don't update as much as they could, but their Facebook is still far more informative than their general web page.

*fingers crossed* Hurry up vitaminwater!
